10/18/2005: LOOP OF HEAVEN 2005 (ISABELLE) @ Shibuya O-WEST
By: Kimagure.nu

Last night's live at Osaka Muse was way bigger than I thought it would be - it took me almost half an hour to get in, and another half an hour for everyone else to arrive and the event to start. I had ticket number 211, but I was about 6 rows back in a totally packed hall - and that was because I stood up and waited at the front. I really shouldn't have, but because I hadn't seen most of the bands that were playing, I had no idea whether it would be good to stand at the front or not. The main problem was the heat - it wasn't so hot to start with, but after a couple of bands I was literally dripping wet with sweat! There were way too many people, and not enough air.

ISABELLE! I said my "sumimasen"'s and made it up towards the front. Beforehand I had asked the girl next to me if it was okay to put my umbrella down with the small group she had by her feet and she didn't mind, so that was nice. So the curtains open back up and ISABELLE comes out in these matching dark grey cargo-ish pants, black hoodies, and black stripes painted across their eyes. Shou was wearing an ISABELLE shirt under his, which you could buy back at the goods table. AYA has his left ear pierced now, and it looks like AYA and seek have gotten a new guitar and bass. AYA's is pretty normal- just black and white, and I think seek's is black as well, but I was on AYA's side so it was hard to see.

I'm pretty sure they started off with "shavada-be" from their new maxi-single, which kind of reminds me of "summer day" since the other members sing along. They also played the other two songs from the single, "AUTOMATIC-DESTRUCTION" and "6bit," and I know towards the second half of their set they also played "Electro Noise." The crowd got pretty rough for ISABELLE, and there was a lot of gyakudai going on, especially during the "Hey boy!" and "Hey girl!" parts of "6bit." This one girl kept doing the gyakudai with her head and she knocked heads with me a couple of times, which was kind of annoying and painful. I don't like doing gyakudai to other people, but ended up doing it anyways because it lowered the impact of the people doing it behind me. I felt kind of sorry for the chick in the front row who was getting hit so much she was halfway leaning over the stage.

AYA would scream out things in the middle of the songs, and occasionally he'd take a turn yell-singing parts of the songs, as well as seek. AYA's MC was talking about their one man (which I think is in February?) and asking us if we were going to buy the new single which went on sale in two days, but you could buy today at the live.

After their set I made my way to their goods table and spent some money on these polaroids (500 yen each) that were turned face down, meaning you had to pick at random. So I figured why the hell not, and handed over 1,000 yen and picked out two from the pile. I also ended up buying their new single in advance out of curiousity (despite having pre-ordered it at Likea) as well as one of their photosets I didn't have (I really wanted the C set, but it was sold out), which cost another 2,000 yen.

So after that I made my way to the opposite end of the room so I could stand in line for my drink, since everyone was apparently thirsty after ISABELLE's set. So while sipping my oolong tea I decided to look at the mystery polaroids I had gotten, only to be surprised the members had actually wrote little comments on them. AYA wrote on both of mine; the first one says, "Peace" and the second one says, "Shingo isn't here." I tried to return to the table to buy two more for friends, but they were aleady sold out. =( Maybe they'll have more next time.

Last was Kamikaze Boyz (Kamikaze Shounendan), who are actually pretty amusing live compared to their huge amount of suckage recorded. Like, I actually enjoyed them and wouldn't mind seeing them again. =O Shingo came out in this green lolita outfit and the audience was all like, "Cute!" and I remember Keiji was wearing this super sparkly purple top underneath some green thing. Tetora had his hair like Kichiku used to wear in Aliza Marie, except it was dyed orange and blue. He was really energetic and ran into the audience a bunch of times, even stopping in the gap right in front of me to do a sumersault before running around some more and jumping back on stage. Oddly enough no one really tired to molest him, but I guess that's all the better for him.

They had a lot of cute furitsuke, which I also participated in. (Man, I'm such a sucker for that shit...ToT) During some of their songs I was more interested in watching to the left backstage, where seek was watching them perform. At first I thought he was holding something like either a beer or a camera, but actually he was just resting his face on his hand at this weird angle. Anywho, it was Syuri's birthday (who I always wonder if it's the same Syuri that used to be in Allure Idea) and so they brought out another cake for him and he blew out the candles. He was kind of embarrassed so all he could say was, "Thanks, really thanks." and then Tetora started making fun of him and had the audience all say "shy boy" when he was walking back to his bass, which didn't help his embarrassment any. After they finished the audience called for an encore, so they came back out and played again and then finally it was time to go.

Everyone gathered their things and a line formed outside at Kamikaze Boyz/Heart's table because the members of Heart were there selling their stuff. I joined a group of four other gaijin after asking them if they knew how to get back to the station, and upon seeing us the guitarist was all like, "Ooh! Gaijin! Gaijin!" into the microphone he was carrying and started talking to a couple of the other girls.

So I waited for them to buy their tickets to their one man, and then we stood around outside the a.m./p.m. next door waiting to see if the bands would come out. seek came by driving ISABELLE's van and it was kind of funny to watch him try to back-up and park the thing without hitting anything. Also the new guitarist from Clavier (who is way frikkin' tall) came out and a bunch of girls rushed to follow him. Eventually this policeman told everyone to leave, so we headed back to the station.
